Reminding you we have our meeting this week on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7:00 am at Stevies Cafe. Mark hosts and will be completing Part 3 of Members IN-Service so we can establish our future plans and leaders. PLEASE PLEASE Attend if you are able...it is really important for the future of our club. Use the information below from our interests/passion discussion in preparation for this meeting.
Last week Monika hosted and Duana gave a report on the Salvation Army and the new homeless shelter. We do have some ideas for volunteering and learned more about what is happening in our county. Thank you Monika and Duana!
Info to reference for this week. What are our two biggest passions or interests were in our life. We got some good information and had some fun discussion. We also talked about narrowing this information down to a signature project. Some ideas we came up with were: Bike Trail marking/Tour de Color type bike ride; Outside Concert; Another twist on the Kids Safety Fair; Trap Shoot with Brill Sportsman Club; Partner with Golden K on something. Can Am Bon Spiel Committees are set. They will be looking for help during the event on Feb. 1, 2, and 3, 2024 Kathy will bring sign up sheets soon.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Last October, we held 3 successful, in-person sessions of One Summit. We held several sessions this year in order to make it easier for you to attend and expand member participation in District 5960. For those who still could not attend a session, we are now offering a virtual session. It will be held on Thursday, February 8 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Registration is required, and you will find the link to do so below.
One Summit is all about how Membership, Public Image and Humanitarian Service through The Rotary Foundation are connected and work together in Rotary. You will learn how to benefit from the synergy these three areas can create. Join us to share your ideas with other Rotarians in the District.
