REMINDER Meeting This Thursday! January 9th

Stevies Cafe - 7:00 AM

Please try to attend - a couple of important topics to review from Board Meeting

We had our board  meeting today, Jan. 7th.  There were a number of topics we discussed that will be brought to club on Thursday. Thursday's meeting is hosted by Ana.  Really hoping we get a good turnout to finalize some of these topics.

BOARD TOPICS DISCUSSED:

1. Treasurers Report:  Admin Acct. $7790.24   Activity Acct. $11,432.68

2.  Finalizing our Budget Process and Reporting

3.  Valentines Raffle - we will be drawing on Thursday, Feb. 13th.  Kathy R. will be bringing the raffle tickets to our meeting on Thursday so we can get them sold.  We only sell 100 tickets and will have about 5 weeks to do so. All moneys raised will go to the Barron Co. Food Banks.

4.  NEGU Project Update.  Never Ever Give Up Joy Jars, committee head by Mike VG.

5.  At our Christmas Party, we were able to raise $200 during our game that winner Cathy B. would like split between the Barron Co. Humane Society and the Rice Lake Friends of the Library.  She has requested that the board consider a match from the club.  Board approves and we will have the club vote on Thursday.

6.  Meeting Schedule - discussion held on this and would like to get some additional input from club members.

7.  Membership Update.  Continuing work on Companion Club and Business Club membership.  We are down 3 members from 2024.

8.  Speakers and Social Activity.  Discussion on the importance of having speakers when you are scheduled, but understand it can be difficult.  Discussed how to support membership in this process and scheduling.

REMINDER: Clare will still take any donated new hats/mittens for the Free Clinic - bring them to our next meeting.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
Reminder we began our trial on the new meeting system of two formal meetings per month and one social event.  The social event will be planned by two club members as part of the meeting host rotation.  Please be flexible and open minded - this is a trial.  You will get information each week - you just need to read the bulletin  ;-) and mark your calendars!  Since the last quarter of the year was not a typical month, will continue trial of this process through the first quarter of 2025 with an evaluation at the end of March.
