Meeting Notification - THURSDAY - October 6, 2022 NOON At Lehman's Supper Club
Greetings!
Reminding you that we are going to meet with the Noon Club on Thursday this week. Dayle Quigley, our DG will be the speaker and presentation. We will not have an 'official' morning club meeting. We will have our meeting the following week. I have received a count of 11 people attending - if you have not contacted me and want to go please let me know by the end of the day tomorrow so Lehmans has an accurate number.
A couple of updates from our meeting last week:
- Clare brought us all a treat and shared her experience in biking for Children's Cancer Research. Please reach out to Clare if you would like to help support her. Thank you Clare for the wonderful activities you support and bring to our attention.
- Mark Berger won our quarterly ace-of-spades drawing. We will start the next quarter during our own meeting next week on October 13th.
- We discussed and agreed to donate $500 to each of the county food pantrys. A couple of members are doing some follow up with Barron and Rice Lake to see if they are still in existance/need.
- Don will be coordinating a Ruby's Pantry volunteer opportunity - look for more info in January.
- Rose Sales Tickets have been distributed. Please contact me if you still need yours or need more. Remember - this is one of our biggest fundraisers. Rose Day is October 27. $20 per dozen. We will be running this the same as last year, what you sell you deliver(or the buyer comes in to the Mall on October 27 to pick their roses up). We will also coordinate within our club for deliveries as well.
- We are still working on getting our final meeting spot established. Norske has informed us that they will not do Wednesday. They will only do Monday. So think about that and whether or not that will work for you. We are scheduled to try out the other two locations in the next few weeks. (See below) Please try to attend - we want to make sure everyone has a chance to see what these locations are like and can make an informed decision.
- Last week I tried to forward our DG Dayle's newsletter to everyone. Mark shared in our meeting the valuable information that can be found in it. I had several emails get bounced back to me as it was too large. Next week I will work to incorporate some information from her newsletter's to you in my bulletin. She has great information on volunteer opportunities, speakers, and other Rotary initiatives.

Membership Informational Meeting date - postponed until we have a permanent location.
The purpose of this meeting is to invite those interested in learning about Rotary. It is an opportunity to showcase what we are all about and increase our membership.
To help with recruitment, we are offering a provisional membership for 3 months (lower cost) so potential members can check us out before committing to a full membership. Please continue to reach out to the people Don Drost helped us to identify and any others you think might be interested.
MEETING REMINDERS:
- Please let Trudy know your program speaker as soon as possible. Thanks!
- If you want a Zoom link - let Joe Erickson know by Friday (the week before the meeting).
- Any program materials for presentations can be emailed to barronsunriserotary@outlook.com (link is also found in the cc section of every email reminder). This email goes directly to our club computer and will make presentations easier for our guest speakers.
