Tuesday Morning - Board Meeting 7:00 AM  BJ will let us know where!

Meeting, Thursday, April 3rd, Stevie's Cafe - 7:00 AM

This week we will be going over the information from the Board meeting.

Last week, Tyler gave a real interesting talk on funeral services.  He gave a brief history of mortuary services and answered questions about financing a funeral, trends, and environmental impacts.  Thanks Tyler for a great program.

The Ace of Spades lives on!
Total is $732.50

Kathy Ricci brought posters for our Cinco de Mayo event.  This is to target potential new members.  If you want to partner up for raffle items, now is the time to get started.

Joe reported that the Vidalia Onion sales opportunity would not be a good fit for our group.  Everyone needs to be on the look-out for other projects or volunteer opportunities.

Ana and BJ attended the grant seminars.  Ana to attend a special meeting with a specialist to see if our NEGU project would be eligible for a grant. Mike VG to attend as well.

Bourbon Spirits Tasting event to tentatively be catered by Adventures.

Club still needs to decide if  we are going to purchase packaged at the Make Peace Visible Conference.  Also a request for $ to cover the cost of bike helmets.

(Special thanks to Monika for taking notes from last weeks meeting for this bulletin!)

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Put Thursday, September 25th on your calendar for the Bourbon Tasting event! Dean will continue to update the club with planning details.

Mark Berger shared menu possibilities with the Cinco de Mayo committee. He thinks three servers from Casa Mexicana will attend in sombreros. Start thinking of people, especially potential members, you'd like to invite to attend!

Ana and BJ planned to attend Rotary grant eligibility meetings. There were 3 opportunities to attend electronically. If anyone else attended, please inform BJ and Jason.

There are 5 members so far planning to attend the District Make Peace Visible conference May 1-3. ( https://makepeacevisible.org ) If our members help package meals with The Outreach Program, it can be counted as an international project. These meals will be sent to Tanzania. Our club could choose to purchase meals to donate to our local food banks.  Meals packed for domestic use include meals like mac & cheese, apple cinnamon oatmeal, and tomato-basil pasta sauce. One case of 218 packaged meals is $80.
