REMINDER - MEETING THURSDAY Oct. 10                       7:00 AM at Stevie's Cafe

Reminding everyone that we have our next meeting this Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:00 am at Stevie's Cafe.  This is hosted by Andrew.  At this time we plan to report on the Board Meeting that was held this week, some decisions that were made and actions that President BJ is working on.  We would also like to get a vote on two donation opportunities.  ($100 for a donation to Pink Ribbon Advocacy for a Club sign at their Curl for a Cure; and a matching donation opportunity for Polio Plus)  Feel free to bring cash or check for this as the club will match donations (and you will get your own foundation credit).  October is Polio Plus month.  

We will need numbers for the Bourbon Tasting event.  If you have ticket money - please bring it in.  Dean and committee will provide an update on where things are at for next Thursday.  We need anyone available to help with this event so please put it on your calendar. You will also need to continue to work on selling Roses!!  If  you haven't gotten your tickets - please pick them up this week. 

Last - we have an opportunity to make some $ by helping park cars at Mosiac's Anniversary Open House.  We have a number of people who have volunteered but could use one or two more!  Please see BJ's email on this! 

WHEW - a lot happening in October!

Last week we had our District Governor, Ed Bove, visit.  He did a nice presentation on a number of areas in which Rotary serves.  I really liked his elevator speech that we could us in sharing info about our club:

• Cook a meal at St. Vincent de Paul's Pauls Pantry - Monika will be getting us a date in Nov.
• Ruby's Pantry - Next date is Sat. Dec. 21 - please put it on your calendar.  

UPCOMING PROGRAMS:     

Reminder we began our trial on the new meeting system of two formal meetings per month (Oct. is an exception) and one social event.  The social event will be planned by two club members as part of the meeting host rotation.  Please be flexible and open minded - this is a trial.  You will get information each week - you just need to read the bulletin  ;-) and mark your calendars! 

 

October will have meetings all month due to the DG visit, Bourbon Tasting and Rose Sales Events.

Oct. 10 - Meeting - Andrew Morrison Hosts

Oct. 17 - Bourbon Tasting Event  Meeting in morning to finalize any details, and turn in Rose Sales Money

Oct. 24 - Rotary Rose Day - No morning meeting - those who want to help can attend breakfast at Maxines at 7 AM

Oct. 31 - Meeting - no speaker - wrap up of Bourbon Tasting and Rose Sales.

 

November will have slight adjustment due to the Thanksgiving Holiday

Nov. 5 - Tuesday Board Meeting

Nov. 7 - No Meeting

Nov. 14 -  Meeting - Ken P. hosts

Nov. 21 -  Meeting (due to Holiday next week)  Kathy R. hosts
