Reminding everyone we will meet Nov. 14th.  Please try to get to Stevies early - our plan is to order breakfast immediately so that we can leave before 7:30 to finish our meeting at The Pregnancy Help Center, 1800 Macauley Ave. in Rice Lake.  Ken hosts and we will get a tour of the new PHC facility and hear about the services they provide.

Last week we did not meet.  We held our Board Meeting.

Reminder - We are cooking the meal for St. Vincent D'Paul on Monday, Nov. 18.  This is NEXT MONDAY.  We will have two shifts again - please let me know via email (trudy.kroeger@gmail.com or text  715-790-2529) which shift you are able to help out.  We do not have the menu yet - when we do we will let you know.    Shift 1:  8:30 - 10:30 am     Shift 2: 10:30-1:15 (approx.)

OTHER BUSINESS:
Board meeting held last week.  Board discussed the budget format and donation request form.  We are close to bringing it to the club.
Board also recommends a social event Christmas Celebration in December.  Kathy R. will host a celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 6 pm.  We are calling it Bourbon and Briskit.  Club members can bring an appetizer to share and own beverage.  Also looking at an opportunity to have a game of some sort where we all throw in $10 and the winner gets to determine where it is donated on behalf of the club.  Looking for thoughts and/or other ideas as well.

OLD BUSINESS:
Treasurer Report:
BJ, Jim, Kathy, and Jason S. met on Nov. 4th to complete an audit on our books.  Will report at our meeting on Nov. 14th.

We are still waiting for the final bill/numbers from the Rose sales.  Will report final profit when that is paid.

We are still looking for a new Treasurer starting in July 2025.  Kathy will be retiring and won't have the same technology availability. If you are interested please let her or any board member know now - you can get a LOT of training in ahead of time.

Also, if someone is interested in doing some PR (facebook and/or web page) we could use your help!

NEW BUSINESS

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Cook a meal at St. Vincent de Paul's Pauls Pantry - Monday, Nov. 18 See notes above for details!!
  • Ruby's Pantry - Next date is Sat. Dec. 21 - please put it on your calendar.
  • We will be looking for times/dates locations for Salvation Army Bell Ringing.  That will start next month!
UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
Reminder we began our trial on the new meeting system of two formal meetings per month and one social event.  The social event will be planned by two club members as part of the meeting host rotation.  Please be flexible and open minded - this is a trial.  You will get information each week - you just need to read the bulletin  ;-) and mark your calendars!  Since the last quarter of the year was not a typical month, will continue trial of this process through the first quarter of 2025 with an evaluation at the end of March.

We need your leadership to help raise funds and awareness for The Rotary Foundation this Giving Tuesday, 3 December.

This global day of generosity is an opportunity for all members to make a big impact with a gift of any size. A donation to Annual Fund-SHARE supports projects you’re passionate about, both in your community and around the world. A gift to PolioPlus helps transport vaccines and immunize children to keep them safe.

Here’s how you can help us prepare for Giving Tuesday:

Watch our Giving Tuesday video with your club.
  • Donate to The Rotary Foundation on Giving Tuesday.
  • Download our Giving Tuesday graphic and share with your peers.

The Rotary Foundation will again recognize the top three clubs in fundraising, donor participation, and online giving. Find out which clubs were recognized last year and set a giving goal for your club this year. Just be sure the gifts are made on 3 December!

Thank you for your leadership and support, Trudy. As we approach this day of giving, remind other members that every contribution, no matter the size, helps Rotary create positive change in the world.

We know that with your help, we can make an even bigger impact because of Giving Tuesday!

Sincerely,
The Rotary Foundation
