The Rotary International theme for February is Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution. We all work together in many ways large and small to make peace visible in our communities.
We are practitioners fighting disease, eliminating polio, providing clean water, improving the health of mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local communities, all actions that directly lead to more peaceful communities/societies.

Rotary Peace Centers focused on education have trained almost 2,000 peace fellows to promote peace or reduce conflict around the world through careers in government, education and/or other international organizations.

Rotary supports mediators around the world who have and are negotiating humanitarian ceasefires in areas of conflict to allow polio vaccinators to reach children who are at risk.
And of course we are all advocates and have an important role to help communities create and maintain groups that are connected, inclusive and resilient.

Our three-year theme in 5960 to Make Peace Visible has resulted in many acts of kindness and actions that show the true character of Rotarians. The conference in May will bring together experts and hundreds of Rotarians along with passionate community members committed to making food security a reality for all residents of their community and beyond.
