Reminder, Rotary Meeting, Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7:00 AM Stevies Cafe in Rice Lake

Aye Maties!  Good afternoon - this last week of summer and National "Talk Like a Pirate Day"! It is really a glorious day out there. Maybe ye be lucky enough to take ye rig out for a sail on the seas (or lakes as we call them here).  Sending a reminder to you that we have our meeting this Thursday, Sept. 21 - 7:00 am at Stevies Cafe.  Bruce is our host.

Last week Joe hosted DeAnna W. and we learned a lot about some new products and initiatives of Mosaic Technologies.  Interesting stuff and nice swag!  Thank you DeAnna!  We also were able to review our goals, a couple projects and put stickers on our dictionaries.  We had several groups going out to the schools last Friday so it will be fun to hear about their distribution trips.  We still have one or two schools left to deliver that are scheduled later.  Thank you Ken for coordinating, thank you Monika for sharing the Rotary message for everyone to use, and a big thank you to those of you who took the time to do the deliveries.

We also had our volunteer work day with Ruby's Pantry.  We went from 10 volunteers to 5 of us who were able to show up.  We did have enough volunteers so all went well.  Thank you Ken, Don, Clare, and Trudy's friend Candy, who wore the Rotary vests and helped distribute over 200 shares of food - it was a sell-out this session. Our next volunteer time is December 16th.  Please put it on your calendar so we can be better represented.

People - We STILL have the Co-President Elect position available starting in January.  Or you can be the President starting in July.  The club supports an incoming president going to the international conference....if you have an interest it will be in Singapor!  How is that for some incentive.  Great opportunity to develop your leadership and help our club continue supporting projects throughout Barron Co.  Please seriously consider being more involved - we need YOU!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Can Am Bon Spiel Committees are set.  They will be looking for help during the event on Feb. 1, 2, and 3, 2024  Sign up sheets will be coming soon.
Ruby's Pantry - December 16

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The district is continuing their conversion from Club Runner to a new platform called DACdb.  This has caused some issues with registration for the One Summit event.  Everyone should have received an email from Glenn Bowers on how to navigate this issue.    Our club is continuing with Club Runner for the next 6 months until we know that issues are worked out with the new platform....we will keep you posted in that regard.
