REMINDER - Meeting Thurs. July 10th, Stevies Cafe at 7:00 AM
This week Jason will host and we will be transferring the gavel from BJ to Jason. BJ will give his last actions as president (board review and discussion on meeting location, recommendation from board for $1000 Prior Lake Project donation). We will then hear from incoming president, Jason on his state of the union address and goals.
Last week was a 4th of July break, and the week before that Jeremy hosted and we had a review of the Rotary LIFT (Listen, Inquire, Facilitate, Transform) process in dealing with countries we partner with for projects. This is the new format for the previous “Fast for Hope” fundraising/donations. Our club decided to donate $500 for this from our admin. account. This was done with a motion from Ana, seconded by Trudy, all agreed. We did this without board recommendation due to the deadline due date of July 1. All board members were present and supported.
Last week we also reviewed a number of other activities/projects in which we are involved.
A) Next years Int'l Conference is in Taipei, Tiawan June 13-17th. Jim S. is planning on attending if anyone else has an interest in going.
B) Ana gave an update on the NEGU project. We received $7500 from the district and the group will be taking their next steps from there. May contact Marshfields Clinic Foundation rep for a donation.
C) Spirits Event is progressing nicely. Still working on finalizing samples/meal match.
D) The Cumberland Impact Club has been busy with supporting the Boys and Girls Club, Taste of Cumberland. A couple of other activities they are going to be involved with are hosting a fun outdoor event with the B and G club in July, setting up an account to support school supplies and summer meals for the Cumberland School District, and setting up their leadership/communication and billing system.
The Ace of Spades .... started anew!!
EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:
Thank you to Jim Stoll (with help from Tyler K.) for stepping up to take on the Treasurer role starting in July 2025. Kathy will stay on for part of the year to help with the transition, especially with the incorporation of the Companion Club.
We held some discussion on the possibility of a two-year presidency.

July 17 - Meeting - Dean hosts (with help from Monika) Aqua Garden in Rice Lake - Can eat first at Stevies then head over there for tour. It is located near the former Mommson's Farm Site - 20 1/2 St. Building #5. He will have Walleye, Herbs and possibly fresh veggies for sale if anyone is interested.
