Reminder, Rotary Meeting, Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7:00 AM Stevies Cafe in Rice Lake
Good morning! Reminding you that we have our meeting this Thursday, Sept. 14 - 7:00 am at Stevies Cafe. Joe hosts and it is going to be a little flexible - we will either have DeAnna W. sharing info on Mosaic and her new position there - and/or we will be putting the stickers on the dictionaries if we have them. So come to the meeting and find out! Ken is our greeter!
Last week we reviewed our discussion from the board meeting. President Dean shared his goals for this next year:
Participate/Support an international project: Clare has shared info on the book project for Sudan and will be getting a program for us on that project.
Participate/Support a County Wide project: Dean gathered information from our county...we are looking at a project that will mark/market our county bike roads and trails. This is in its infancy and will probably be a 2-3 year project. We will be working with representatives from the county - we will have more info in the future.
Participate/Support a local project: The lumbering hall of fame is looking for some help with work there - Jim Stoll shared some info and our past member Pat Durand has a memorial fund that we have been keeping that will help support this - watch for more on that as well.
The club membership donated $150 to the MMC Hospice program in memory of our former member Mike Smith.
People - We STILL have the Co-President Elect position available starting in January. Or you can be the President starting in July. The club supports an incoming president going to the international conference....if you have an interest it will be in Singapor! How is that for some incentive. Great opportunity to develop your leadership and help our club continue supporting projects throughout Barron Co. Please seriously consider being more involved - we need YOU!
