Meeting is Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at Cabin Coffee 7:00 AM - This is also the day of our Bourbon Tasting Event - 6:00 pm at The Church Barn.
This week we will be reviewing last minute preparations for the Harvest Dinner and Bourbon and Spirits Tasting Event. If you have Silent Auction items please bring them. Also, if anyone is available to help set up - we can start on Wednesday, the 14th at 1:00 at the Church Barn. Looking forward to a successful event!
Last week Kevin Jacobson attended and gave us a recap of the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build. We made 66 beds. Needed to raise $18,000 and we came close to $19,000. Had plenty of help all three shifts, 40% of the builders were Rotarians, the rest were from other organizations or the community in general. There were 286 hands at work that put together over 6654 feet of boards. The organization is looking for anyone who is interested in delivering beds when needed. Overall was a great event.
Jeremy provided us with an entertaining and educational trivia test. We competed in small groups to answer questions all about Rotary. Was a lot of fun and we learned more about our organization as well.
Now it is time to prep for our Bourbon tasting and keep on selling Roses!
Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:
REMINDER - Meeting this Wednesday Oct. 14, 7:00 AM at the Harvest Grill
Last week we completed the dictionary delivery at Cumberland Elementary and Ascension Academy. The third graders were quite excited. We also assisted at the T1D Breakthrough for Diabetes walk on Saturday in Rice Lake. It was a great day for a walk and to support those in our community who have Type 1 Diabetes.
We also had our first planning session as a club last Wednesday. It was fun to review the things we’ve worked on so far as a club and select our favorites - with the bed build being highly rated! We also brainstormed ideas for the next 12-18 months and chose to focus on increasing food security and recruiting more members. We meet this week at 7am at the Harvest Grill. Enjoy the fall beauty!
Thanks, Lisa

ROTARY DISTRICT 5960 BUSINESS/NEWS:
TO: All District Rotarians FROM: Pete Grayson, 2028-29 District Governor What’s next for your Rotary club?
How do we attract new members? Keep current members engaged? Strengthen our service and The Rotary Foundation impact? Tell our Rotary story better?
Join Rotarians from across District 5960 for a Rotary Club Action Plan Summit—an interactive evening focused on ideas you can actually take back and use in your club.
Thursday, November 5 | 6:00 p.m. | Zoom | No cost
Together, we’ll tackle four big opportunities:
• Increase Our Impact — stronger service and Foundation participation • Expand Our Reach — membership, partnerships, and telling our story • Enhance Engagement — keeping members involved and developing leaders • Increase Our Ability to Adapt — helping clubs evolve and thrive
This isn’t another Rotary presentation. It’s a working session about the future of your club. You don’t need to be a club officer. And don’t come alone—bring two or three members who care about where your club is headed.
Your club doesn’t need another plan sitting on a shelf. It needs a great conversation about what comes next. We hope you’ll join us! Pete -- Pete Grayson 5960 District Governor Nominee (2028-29) Rotary Club of Saint Paul, MN graysonlaw@mac.com 612-598-5907
