Reminder - Meeting this Thursday, November 30, 7:00 AM Stevies Cafe

Good Evening,
Hoping everyone had a good Thanksgiving and enjoyed the week off last week.  Reminding you all we have our meeting this week on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:00 am at Stevies.  This is going to be a great chance to hear a speaker from our district - IN PERSON!!  Michael Spellman from the Shoreview/Arden Hills Club will be here to share information on the "Make Peace Visible" initiative.  This would be a wonderful time for high attendance so please attend if you are able.  Plus with everything going on in the world today....learning more on making Peace visible is an important focus.

Also remember that we are going to be collecting new/gently used hats/mittens/gloves for the Free Clinic - bring what you can!

The board met this evening and will be bringing forth a couple of recommendations for donations to our food pantries and the Barron Hockey Organization.  We also met with Mark and Cathy Berger to review some of the information we covered during session 1 of "Rotary Member IN Service".  They will be doing a follow up session on Dec. 7.  Please take time at home to do some reflecting and thinking on the topics we reviewed and what our breakout groups discussed.  Bring you thoughts and ideas in relationship to the survey that was conducted.  We really want to determine the direction our club wants to take in the future.

Remember, the Salvation Army has started their Red Kettle Campaign.  Please let me know when you would like to ring and where so I can get you signed up.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
For the next two weeks (Nov. 30 and Dec. 7)  Clare will be collecting new or gently used and clean hats and gloves/mittens for the free clinic.  Please bring some in!
Ruby's Pantry - December 16  Please put it on your calendar now so we have good coverage!
Salvation Army Bell Ringing - If you have any preferential times/places please let me know so I can schedule.
Can Am Bon Spiel Committees are set.  They will be looking for help during the event on Feb. 1, 2, and 3, 2024  Sign up sheets will be coming soon.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
REMEMBER TOMORROW IS GIVING TUESDAY!!

We need your help, as a Rotary leader, to raise funds and awareness for The Rotary Foundation this Giving Tuesday, 28 November.
This global day of generosity is an opportunity for all members to make a big impact, with a gift of any size that supports projects you’re passionate about.

Donate to Annual Fund-SHARE on Giving Tuesday to support district and global grants.

The Foundation will recognize the top three clubs in fundraising, donor participation, and online giving. Find out which clubs were recognized last year and set a giving goal for your club this year. Just be sure the gifts are made on 28 November!  If you have questions, text Mark B.
As we approach this day of giving, remind other members that every contribution, no matter the size, helps Rotary create positive change in the world.
We know that with your help, Giving Tuesday will be a bigger success than ever.
Sincerely,
The Rotary Foundation
