Meeting is Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Cabin Coffee 7:00 AM.
This week we will have a surprise program from Jeremy. Last week we had our Board Meeting Report out. A couple of things we voted and approved were a $500 donation to both the Salvation Army and Empty Bowls fund raiser for Rice Lake's Backpack lunch program. These funds will be matched by the Rice Lake Community Health Foundation. We also talked about potentially using “What's App” for text communication. Members were asked to look at it - download it (its free) and let us know what you think. Board members are currently testing it out for board communications.
We had the Bed Build this past weekend and it was great to see so many from our Sunrise Club as well as our companion clubs there helping out. What a fascinating and organized process - it went very fast and was a lot of fun.
Now it is time to focus on Rose Sales and our Bourbon Tasting event! SellSellSell
Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:
REMINDER - Meeting this Wednesday Oct. 7 in the evening for Strategic Planning Follow Up
Thank you so much to Kevin and the noon club for the bed build event. We had a great time participating on build day and we heard a lot of interest and positive feedback from the Cumberland community. We have a few members who are interested in helping with delivering beds. On Wednesday evening this week we will be doing a follow up with our club on the strategic planning event from last spring. We plan to have 4 members helping out with serving at the Bourbon Tasting, and we will be helping at the T1D (type 1 diabetes) walk on Saturday at northwoods. Enjoy the fall beauty!!
Thanks, Lisa

ROTARY DISTRICT 5960 BUSINESS/NEWS:
Dear Rotary Member: Explore an improved Service Project Center experience designed to make proposing and reporting your service initiatives easier and more intuitive, while helping Rotary collect more consistent information about service efforts around the world. Updated proposal forms help you clearly identify collaborators and describe the design of your initiative and how you’ll measure results. When it’s time to report finished work, you’ll select the type of initiative you completed so the system can guide you through the right fields.
With this new experience, you begin by choosing the path that best fits your initiative. Proposals: Plan your service Create a proposal to share early-stage ideas, invite partners, or seek funding.
