Reminder, SOCIAL ACTIVITY August 31, 2023 5:00 pm Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale
Hi All! A reminder that this is our first monthly social event! This Thursday - 5:00 pm - Enchanted Barn - 1543 6 1/2 Ave. Hillsdale WI. Bring a chair - there will be a couple of us there early to stake out a spot for our group. Wear layers...its cooling off when the sun sets. I was there for my book club last Thursday and we were lucky to see the Highland Cows in the field next to the venue. One had given birth to a calf just 2 hours prior and that cutie was toddling around already. Its a casual setting, pizza on the menu, everyone on their own bill. Hope to see all there!
We will have a board meeting at 7:00 am this Thursday at Stevies - NO REGULAR MEETING - but you are certainly welcome to attend the board meeting if you would like to. Last week we reviewed a number of things. The membership survey (see Mark's email of Aug. 18) to get your copy and please fill it out and give to Mark. Also TODAY IS LAST DAY TO ORDER A TSHIRT!! See Monika's email from Aug. 16 for your options. You can email her directly - there is no charge until they come in. The club did decide to order some aprons as well for any members volunteering where we need them. They will be a shared item similar to our vests.
Ken P reviewed the status of our Dictionary Project. The dictionary's have been ordered - we are tentatively hoping that all will be here so Sept. 7 can be our workday (putting stickers in the books) and boxing up according to schools.
Jeremy will be our greeter on Sept. 7.
Remember - We still have the Co-President Elect position available starting in January. Or you can be the President starting in July. Great opportunity to develop your leadership and help our club continue supporting projects throughout Barron Co. Please seriously consider being more involved - we need YOU!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Next Ruby's Pantry - Saturday, September 16th, 7:00 am.
Can Am Bon Spiel Committees are set. They will be looking for help during the event on Feb. 1, 2, and 3, 2024 If you are interested and able to help out - Don, Dean or Jason know.
