BJ, Jim and Jason S. will be completing an audit on our books.
We are still looking for a new Treasurer starting in July 2025. Kathy will be retiring and won't have the same technology availability. If you are interested please let her or any board member know now - you can get a LOT of training in ahead of time.
Bourbon Tasting Event Details: A couple of reminders:
Date - Thursday, Oct. 17
Location: Church Barn outside of Barron - contract has been signed. The organizations that were agreed upon for donations and support were: Barron Co. Humane Society; Barron Co. Sunrise Rotary Activity Fund; Benjamin's House; Boys and Girls Club; Natures Edge Therapy Center; Pink Ribbon Advocacy; Pregnancy Help Center; and the local Salvation Army.
Event Cost: Food $18 per plate; Site Rental $1200
Tickets $100 pp. Goal is to get 100 invitees. Will be asking everyone to try to sell 10 tickets. We need 30 to break even.
Potential Silent Auction to raise funds so will be looking for donations.
REMEMBER THIS EVENT WILL NEED EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL!! We will need everyone to participate to help pull this off - but it will reap great rewards for our club, reputation, and fund raising. EVERYONE PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Dean has the tickets - if you have not gotten yours yet pease contact Dean call/text 715-418-1260 or email him at walleyedoctor25@gmail.com and he will get them to you.
UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
Reminder we began our trial on the new meeting system of two formal meetings per month (Oct. is an exception) and one social event. The social event will be planned by two club members as part of the meeting host rotation. Please be flexible and open minded - this is a trial. You will get information each week - you just need to read the bulletin ;-) and mark your calendars!
October will have meetings all month due to the DG visit, Bourbon Tasting and Rose Sales Events.

The results are in and I wanted to share some of the contribution statistics with you.

- Endowment Fund - $166,701
District 5960 was busy putting our available District Designated Funds (DDF) to good use during our year that ended June 30, 2024. See the attached document for more details.
- District Grants - $117,261 to fund 18 grants (10 local and 8 international)
- Global Grants - $110,000 to fund 5 global grants sponsored by D5960 clubs
- Global Grants - $ 12,250 to fund 1 global grant authored by another district
- Global Scholar - $19,444 to fund one global scholar with a focus on community and economic development
- PolioPlus -- $50,000 + World Fund match $25,000 and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation match $150,000 – Total $225,000
As we begin our new Rotary year, know that all past contributions and efforts to utilize those contributions are appreciated. As we move forward the

2024 Strike Out Polio Campaign.
We are once again promoting our
STRIKE OUT POLIO campaign with recognition points matches and Polio Plus Society opportunities!
WHAT: District-wide LOCAL events that clubs and individuals can participate in and engage the public, friends and family to make donations to PolioPlus. Clubs are encouraged to get together and bowl at their local bowling alleys OR simply donate if bowling isn’t feasible.
WHEN: Anytime between October 1
st and October 31st, 2024.
WHERE: ANYWHERE you want! Support your local establishment, plug in the Wii at home, or skip the bowling all together. There is no wrong way to STRIKE OUT POLIO.
HOW TO RAISE FUNDS:
1. If you are a bowler, Collect Pledges from friends for pins knocked down and have some good competitive fun. We are supplying a pledge sheet here as an example. This is a great way to get out the Rotary PolioPlus message.
2. If bowling isn’t really in your lane, simply give to the cause.
RECOGNITION:
We will reward and recognize people who give at two levels:
SPARE!: Give at least $100 to PolioPlus before October 31st and the donation will be matched 1:1 with Recognition Points.
STRIKE!!: Give at least $365 (equivalent of $1/day) to PolioPlus during this campaign, and we will utilize Recognition Points to award a Paul Harris Fellowship!
PLUS…
POLIO PLUS SOCIETY: Pledge to give at least $100 every year, and you will be recognized as a Polio Plus Society member and receive a PPS pin for your generosity and commitment.
