REMINDER - Meeting Thurs. July 17th - Aqua Garden in Rice Lake. (located at the former Mommsons farm site on SS - 1740 20 ½ Street, Building #5)

This week Dean hosts with help from Monika and we will be visiting the Aqua Garden in Rice Lake.  It is at the former Mommsons Farm site on SS - Building #5 (The Escape Building is also in the same area.)  Feel free to go to Stevies for breakfast at 6:45- 7:00ish - then meet up at the Aqua Garden at 7:30.  We will get a tour and there may be product for sale as well.  

Last week we transferred the gavel from BJ to Jason.  BJ gave his last actions as president.  We reviewed discussions from the board:

One item discussed was future location for meeting with pros and cons - we will be doing a test meeting at Cabin Coffee on Thursday, July 24th.   We will have reg. and decaf coffee available in the back room.  There will be a running tab for you to order breakfast at the counter (let them know you are with Barron Co. Sunrise Rotary).  If you want a fancy coffee you will need to pay for that on your own.   

We discussed recommendation from board for $1000 Prior Lake Project donation.  Ana made a motion, seconded by Ken. Motion passed. 

BJ finished with thank you's and support for completing our by-laws with adjustments for our Satellite club.  Also thank you's to those who helped with serving at St. Vinnies on July 9th, and at Music in the Park on the 8th.

Jason began with a thank you to BJ.  Also sharing that a link for supporting the floods in Texas was sent to all members if you want to support.  We also discussed an adjustment for due to support the international conference being held in our district.  After discussion, instead of raising dues we are going to pay $260 from our admin account.  Motion made by Jeremy, seconded by Tyler.  All supported.

A couple of other reminders/updates:

1) Connie Kind's Arrangements are a visitation on Sunday, July 20th at Appleyards from 4-7pm.  The Celebration of Life will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 2502 23rd Ave. Rice Lake.  Visitation one hour prior.  For full obituary please see the Appleyards website.

2) We are having our Social event on Thursday, July 24. Going to the Kids From Wisconsin Concert.   Meeting at “The Bar” at 5:30. Drinks/burgers are on your own, will have some appetizers.  Bring your chair to the meeting in the morning and Tyler said he would put them out for us early - we will head over to the concert after our socializing.    

3) Next years Int'l Conference is in Taipei, Tiawan June 13-17th.  Jim S. is planning on attending if anyone else has an interest in going.          

4) Ana gave an update on the NEGU project.  We received $7500 from the district and the group will be taking their next steps from there.  May contact Marshfields Clinic Foundation rep for a donation.   

 5)  Spirits Event is progressing nicely.  Still working on finalizing samples/meal match. 

6) The Cumberland Impact Club has been busy with supporting the Boys and Girls Club, Taste of Cumberland.  A couple of other activities they are going to be involved with are hosting a fun outdoor event with the B and G club in July, setting up an account to support school supplies and summer meals for the Cumberland School District, and setting up their leadership/communication and billing system.    As we progress with this we will have a section for the Cumberland Impact Club in this bulletin.  I believe this is the first bulletin they will receive - so WELCOME Cumberland Club members!
