Barron County Sunrise Rotary Club Update:

Meeting is Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Cabin Coffee, 7:00 AM.  Speaker will begin at 7:00 and meeting will follow.

This week -  Dean (with help from Jason and Monika) hosts Andre Audette with an interesting and entertaining talk.  Please try to get to the meeting early/on time as Andre needs to start at 7:00 to get to work on time. We will have his talk then our meeting.  Club members really enjoyed his last talk with us.

Last week we had a wonderful onsite visit at Green Leaf Farms courtesy of Bruce Smith and his neice.  We got a chance to see the hydroponic method of growing lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers.  We were able to take some tomatoes and purchase other products as well.  It was really interesting and fun to see the fresh (parasite free) produce!  Thanks Bruce for a great program. Be sure to check out our facebook page for some pictures.

We also had our social gathering this past week last Wednesday with the Kid's From Wisconsin concert.  Had a great group meet up at The Bar and then went over to the concert.

Also happening this week and next week:

Music in the Park - Food Truck - Tues. July 28, 6:00 pm; Jason, Bill and Monika and Ana will be there.

DG visit - New DG Michael-Jon Pease will be visiting the Sunrise Rotary meeting on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7:00 AM.  All club members (including companion clubs) are welcome to join us in meeting him.  If you cannot make this meeting, please attend the Rice Lake Noon Club meeting that same day at noon at Lehmans.

Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:

REMINDER - No Meeting this Week- Next Meeting Wed. Aug. 12

We are busy getting ready for the school supply drive that starts next week.  This year we are collecting supplies for both the elementary and middle schools.  It will run for most of August.  Last year's drive was successful and really helped out the teachers and hopefully reduced how much they needed to spend for supplies.  Also next week we will have a table at National Night Out in Cumberland on Tuesday, 8/4.  We will have fun for kids and adults :)  Our next meeting is not until 8/12 and we will also do the Adopt a Highway Clean up that day.  Stay cool!!  Lisa

Shell Lake Area Companion Club Update:

REMINDER - No Gathering this Week. Next Gathering Aug. 12th, 5:30 pm at the Shell Lake Lodge.

We will be meeting again with the Superintendent and Principles of the local schools on Aug. 12th, to discuss potential needs and how our companion group may be able to help.

EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:

Come On People - We are still looking for a president for Rotary year 27/28.  Jason is willing to co-pres if someone will step up for a two year committment (first year co with Jason, second year on own).

This is our 30th Anniversary for Sunrise Rotary - would like to do something - if you want to help out you can join Jason, Monika and Clare for planning. Clare will also be doing a time line - please share YOUR Rotary timeline with Clare or Jason by Mid-August.
