Reminder - Meeting, Thursday, May 9 - 7:00 AM at Stevies Cafe
This week Kathy R. hosts - and we will have Dana Nelson with a review and update on what is happening with the area's St. Vincent de Paul society.
Last week we had some good discussions on finalizing our Membership process. Ken and Dean provided an update. Also got some more thoughts on how some fundraisers could look. When the concepts are more structured the groups working on them will bring them to the club for a final acceptance vote.
Mike VG indicated that there was some very positive feedback from Noon club membership regarding the NEGU project. After their board and club discuss further we will get some feedback and potential direction. Fingers crossed it goes well - Mike indicated it would be nice if we had a combined committee with a couple members of our club and a couple members from the noon club. So think about getting involved!
Our Cinco celebration went well - a good time was had by all who were in attendance. Hope to have a final report out of our fund-raising efforts. Thank you to all who donated in any way (bottle, money, items, raffle or silent auction item). We would not have made any funds without your help!!
Also, our president's little foray into the life of crime actually paid off. We received a ransom payout of $68 for little gavel (although gavel was partying it up and might have wanted to stay with us!). We fully expect retribution.

Make Peace Visible is a 3-year initiative. The focus is on what we are as Rotarians - Peacebuilders.
Paul Harris said, "The way to war is a well-paved highway, and the way to peace is still a wilderness.”
Since 1905, Rotary has been advancing world understanding, service, and peace.
Let's pave "the wilderness” - - - Let’s MAKE PEACE VISIBLE!
Growing peace lilies was a fun way to symbolize the challenges of "growing" peace, but when it is established it makes everything better.
