REMINDER - Meeting Thurs. July 24th at Cabin Coffee in Rice Lake.  7:00 AM  

This week Jim hosts and while his original speaker has backed out - we are still working on getting a fill-in.  Having said that - we will meet either way with a trial run at Cabin Coffee in Rice Lake.  We will have air pots with regular and decaf available in the back room where we will be meeting.  If you want something to eat you can order at the counter as soon as you come in (let them know you are with Sunrise Rotary so you get put on the tab).  You may have to go back up for your food when its ready and your name is called.  If you want a specialty coffee - you will need to get that on your own at your cost.  So let's try this new place out and see what we think.  

Last week we had an awesome visit at the Aqua Garden in Rice Lake.  What a neat business we have available in our area.  We got to see the walleyes, and the growing herbs and lettuces.  The product is sold under the label of the Wobbley Walleye.  Let's support our local businesses - they also have a monthly pick up program - check out their website at AquaGarden Rice Lake. Thank you Dean, with help from Monika for getting this set up.  

A couple of other reminders/updates:

1) We will be at Music in the Park tonight starting at 6 to support the Golden K Food Truck.  Monika, Tyler and Trudy will be there.  Anyone else is welcome to join in. 

2) We are having our Social event on Thursday, July 24. Going to the Kids From Wisconsin Concert.   Meeting at “The Bar” at 4:30. (Concert starts at 6:00 - not 7 as we originally thought.)  Drinks/burgers are on your own, will have some appetizers.  Bring your chair to the meeting at Cabin Coffee in the morning and Tyler said he would put them out for us early - we will head over to the concert after our socializing.    

3) Next years Int'l Conference is in Taipei, Tiawan June 13-17th.  Jim S. is planning on attending if anyone else has an interest in going.          

4) Ana gave an update on the NEGU project.  We received $7500 from the district and the group will be taking their next steps from there.  May contact Marshfields Clinic Foundation rep for a donation.   

 5)  Spirits Event is progressing nicely.  Still working on finalizing samples/meal match. The Facebook announcement has been posted - if you receive be sure to share!  Kathy sent out a final list of the organizations we are going to list to support:  Salvation Army, Boys&Girls Club, Pregnancy Help Center, Benjamin's House, and Pink Ribbon Advocacy.

6) The Cumberland Impact Club has been busy with supporting the Boys and Girls Club, Taste of Cumberland.  A couple of other activities they are going to be involved with are hosting a fun outdoor event with the B and G club in July, setting up an account to support school supplies and summer meals for the Cumberland School District, and setting up their leadership/communication and billing system.    As we progress with this we will have a section for the Cumberland Impact Club in this bulletin.  I believe this is the first bulletin they will receive - so WELCOME Cumberland Club members!  We will have to establish a means to share more communication for both clubs.  Still working on details for checking account and Tax ID information.
