Reminder - Meeting, Thursday, April 18 - 7:00 AM at Stevies Cafe!

It's Monday! And a marvelous one at that (even though it is also Tax Day deadline).  It's nice to have the sun out, feeling the warmth and seeing those signs of spring!

This week Drew hosts.  There will also be a board report.

Last week we had a really small turnout but a great discussion on more ideas for membership and programs.  A couple of ideas for programs (if you need one) are: Dana Nelson (director@svdpricelake.org), Director of St. Vincent De Paul on what is happening there and at Pauls Pantry.  Also, Candace Falk, from the noon Rotary Club went to Guatamala for Rotary and has a prepared presentation.  (Thank you to Monika via Deb Neuheisel for sharing these ideas.)

OLD BUSINESS:
Board Meeting Tomorrow!  7:00 AM Dennys Restaurant (N end of Rice Lake - former Perkins).

Reminder - April 25th is when Mike VG will be presenting to the noon club regarding the NeGu project.  We will still have a morning meeting that day but it would be really good if we could have 4-6 members attend the noon meeting to support Mike.  Please let him know this week or next so we can give them a tentative number.

Childrens Safety Fair is coming up on Saturday, May 18 at Maranatha Church from 10-1.  Please see Jeremy or Clare for helping out!  All volunteers welcome!

Kathy sent out 4th Quarter Dues notices two weeks ago - please take care of as you are able.

Reminder - May 2 - Thursday at 6:00 pm is our Cinco De Mayo celebration.  This is a club social fundraiser.  We have extended an invite to the noon club members and encourage everyone to invite someone they would like to be a potential member to attend as well.  In addition, we are asking all club members to donate a bottle of something for our spin the bottle game.  It is popular game ($5 a spin) and the bottle can be anything from a nice liquor to ketchup - be creative people!  My donated bottle of hotsauce made Paul Chase very happy last year!   Also, if you would like to donate something for a silent auction or bag raffle that would be great.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Childrens Safety Fair - Sat. May 18, 10 - 1 pm.  Maranatha Church
  • Ruby's Pantry - Sat. June 15 - please get it on your calendar!!
