Barron County Sunrise Rotary Club Update:

Meeting is Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Cabin Coffee 7:00 AM.

This week -   Bill K. hosts and we will have our own Sheldon and Noon Clubs Dane J. present on the Rotary Curling trip to Scotland earlier this year.

Last week we had Pharmacist Tim Wold, and our very own Joe E. sharing information regarding the Pharmaceutical field and how it works with Medicare Part D.  Interesting and informative information on the history and how this system operates.   Thank you Tyler and Joe!

A couple of questions to consider:

Do we need to provide support to ship the items collected for “Crutches”?

2028 the Rotary Int'l Conference will be held in Minneapolis.  Watch for opportunities to attend and/or be involved.

Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:

We will be helping the Cumberland Chamber with preparing their new office for painting on Monday this week.  Also this week we will help the food pantry get food boxes ready for our migrant workforce which is beginning to arrive.  And, we will be helping with setup for Taste in Cumberland, which is next Monday, June 22, at the Cumberland Golf Course.  Happy summer!!

ROTARY DISTRICT 5960 BUSINESS/NEWS:
This is an excerpt from this month's newsletter from our District Governor, Glenn Bowers.  There was additional information that you can read in your email from Kathy Hughitt titled “Around the District”

…"Can you believe that it is June already? There is truth in the adage of ‘where did the time go?’ The calendar year is almost half over (Christmas is just around the corner). We are in the last few weeks of the 2025-26 Rotary year. I feel that my time as your District Governor has gone by in the blink of an eye. I wish that I had more time to serve you but that is not how Rotary operates. Clubs, Districts, and Rotary International change leadership every year. This brings fresh ideas and keeps us moving forward.

Many great things happened in 2025-26. There are too many items to cover all of them here but let me highlight a few. Unfortunately, we are losing two of our clubs. However, we are also adding to the Rotary family with the creation of the Shell Lake Companion Club, the second companion club of Barron County Sunrise in the past 12 months, and the recent addition of the Interact Club of Wabasha-Kellogg, sponsored by the Wabasha club…"

Thank you for your support and friendship. The most rewarding part of my District Governor experience was building new relationships and seeing the impact our clubs are making.

Glenn Bowers, District Governor 2025-2026
