Sunrise Rotary Club Update:

REMINDER - Meeting Thurs. 7:00 AM, Cabin Coffee - This is our District Governor Visit!

This week we are pleased to have our new District Governor, Glenn Bowers, attend our meeting! We will be meeting at Cabin Coffee again, 7 am - really looking for a good turnout. All are welcome - arrive a bit early to get your order in. Same as last week - food order under Rotary tab, regular/decaf coffee available in meeting room. Any fancy coffees are on your own. Let's have a great turnout and show our Sunrise Support!

Last week we met at Jim's garage - got to see what we have available - signs, aprons, vests, and some old memorabilia. Thanks Jim for storing our supplies.

We also had a board meeting this past week. Talked about prepping for Thursday meeting, a bit on the foundation and info available on our district website. Also, testing out Cabin Coffee one more time to determine if this is the site for us or not. Jason will be sending out a notice about finalizing our bylaws. Also, again a reminder to attend the Cumberland Impact Club's Launch on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the Harvest Grille in the Cumberland Hospital Patio at 5:30. Can still attend - let Clare know 715-822-2569.

A couple of other reminders/updates:

1) Next years Int'l Conference is in Taipei, Tiawan June 13-17th. Jim S. is planning on attending if anyone else has an interest in going.

2) Spirits Event progress is ongoing. Facebook announcement has been posted - if you receive be sure to share! Kathy sent out a final list of the organizations we are going to list to support: Salvation Army, Boys&Girls Club, Pregnancy Help Center, Benjamin's House, and Pink Ribbon Advocacy. Tickets are available through Kathy.

Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update

Our satellite club - Cumberland Rotary Impact Club met last Tuesday and had a great afternoon with the Boy's and Girl's Club of Cumberland. They took the kids on some forest hikes, did yoga, a gnome search and shaving cream painting. Special thanks to Clare, Lisa, Steve, Emily, and Virginia for organizing and participating. Hoping to do more with the kids in the future.

Kicked off the school supply drive, donations starting to come in. Club plans to continue to collect supplies that will be distributed during the school open house on Aug. 27th. Anything extra will be given to the teachers to help stock their classrooms.

Club finally received their Tax ID #. Reminding everyone that their Launch party is TOMORROW! 5:30-7:30 pm in Cummberland at the Harvest Grille - located in the Cumberland Hospital. Thank you to the Cumberland Hospital for hosting - All are welcome to join in - tickets are $15. Hope to see you all there!!

EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:

Will be finalizing By-laws in the next week or so.

All bills are up-to-date.
