Barron County Sunrise Rotary Club Update:

Meeting is Thursday, July 1, 2026, at Cabin Coffee 7:00 AM.

This week -   Kathy R. hosts a tour of the Boys and Girls club with Lori Z.  Please come early for breakfast - get a cup of coffee to go and we will meet at the new RL pool at 7:30 am.

Last week Chris Fitzgerald did a great presentation on Frauds and Scams. We got some good info on what to watch out for and how to protect ourselves.

Remember to sign up to be a part of a volunteer group attending the RI Conference in Mpls in 2028. See info below under district news to get your name on the list. Get signed up even if you are not sure.

Several of us worked at St. Vinnies and provided a taco lunch to 89 very warm people.  Thank you Monika, Joe and Julie, Rotary Friend Candy, Jason, and Trudy.

The Master Plan meeting is being held Tues. morning - will hear more during our board report out meeting on July 9th.

Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:

REMINDER - No Meeting this Week. Next Meeting Wednesday, July 8th - 7:00 AM at the Harvest Grill

The Cumberland Rotary Impact Club concluded the Cumberland Shopping Spree Raffle to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. Additional tickets were sold and winners were drawn at the Taste In Cumberland fundraiser event on Monday, June 22, while also bringing awareness to this new Rotary Service club. The total amount raised was $2820.  Rotary members also supported the event through set-up and staffing the event. In July, we will have an evening social on July 15 at the Tower House to invite prospective members. We will also kick off our fall school supplies drive! In August, we will support the National Night Out in Cumberland. Our regular bi-weekly meeting schedule continues with 7 am meetings at the Harvest Grill every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Shell Lake Area Companion Club Update:

REMINDER - No meeting this week - Next Meeting Wednesday, July 8, 5:30 pm at the Shell Lake Lodge.

We had a couple members attend the installation for the new 26-27 DG this past week in St. Paul.  Our new District Gov. is Michael-jon Pease. The theme of the event was “Off to the Races”.  This years Rotary Theme is Create Lasting Impact.

EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:

We need complete the checkbook audit - Joe, Jason and Jim S. have agreed to do this.

Sunrise Rotary still needs to finalize officers for the next year.  Jason is president. Kathy agreed to do treasurer again and Trudy agreed to continue as secretary.  We need coverage for Membership and Foundation - this is a great way to get started on being more involved in Rotary - please let Jason know.  We will also be looking for a president for Rotary year 27/28.  Jason is willing to co-pres if someone will step up for a two year committment (first year co with Jason, second year on own).

This is our 30th Anniversary for Sunrise Rotary - would like to do something - if you want to help out you can join Jason, Monika and Clare for planning. Clare will also be doing a time line - so share any info that you want to have included.
