Meeting Notification - MONDAY September 26, 2022 7:00 AM

Good Morning!

We got started last week with our distribution of Rose Sales Tickets.  This is one of our biggest fundraisers.  I am hoping that those who were not able to make it last week can pop in tomorrow to pick up their tickets/poster.  Rose Day is October 27. $20 per dozen.  We will be running this the same as last year - what you sell you deliver(or the buyer comes in to the Mall on October 27 to pick their roses up).  We will also coordinate within our club for deliveries as well.

We are still working on getting our final meeting spot established. As I reported last week,  Jim had sent out a request for feedback on meeting days/times of the week.  It appears that we are still planning on a morning time, but the day of the week is open between Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  We have narrowed down locations, but still need some more feedback.  We are planning on trying out a couple of these in October.  Our options are:

Seasons Cafe in Barron (seats 25) - this is available for Tuesday mornings at 7:00 am.  They have wifi, would work with us for a menu/cost options.
Mosaic Telecom Meeting Room (ample seating, all electronics already there, catering provided by Cameron House) We are waiting to hear from Deanna regarding dates/catering cost.
Stevies Restaurant in RL  - Men's Club meets there on Tuesday Mornings - we are looking at a Thursday morning option.
Norske Nook may be open to Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am.  We are still working on this option.

Board meeting results:  We held our board meeting last week.
We revisted our dues structure after receiving a notice from RI that some dues have increased.  We have no change to our dues - they are still $136 per quarter this Rotary year (July 2022 - June 2023).

The Club received a donation request from the Cameron Food Bank.  The board will be proposing that we make a donation to all food banks in the county.  In conjunction with the issue of food supply in our county - Don is going to work out an opportunity for our club members to help with Ruby's Pantry in Cameron in the near future.  Watch for dates!  Thank you Don!

Our District Governor, Dayle,  is going to visit our area October 6th.  With our location still up in the air - our Club has been welcomed to the Noon Club's meeting on October 6th at Lehman's.  Cost for meal will be paid for by our club (as usual).  They would just like a headcount so they can be prepared.  We will get this tomorrow.  If you are not going to attend tomorrow's meeting could you please send Trudy an email with your RSVP so we can let the noon club know.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
These items may be subject to change depending on future meeting date/location.

Membership Informational Meeting date - postponed until we have a permanent location.

The purpose of this meeting is to invite those interested in learning about Rotary.  It is an opportunity to showcase what we are all about and increase our membership.
To help with recruitment, we are offering a provisional membership for 3 months (lower cost) so potential members can check us out before committing to a full membership.  Please continue to reach out to the people Don Drost helped us to identify and any others you think might be interested.
