REMINDER

Meeting Thurs. June 5th, Stevie's Cafe - 7:00 AM

We will be starting immediately at 7 - please try to get there 5-10 min. before to get your breakfast order in!

This week we will have Barb Ritzinger from Univ. of Eau Claire Barron County to talk to us about their Foundation and where our scholarship dollars go.  Following that we will have a report from our board with several items to vote upon.  These are:

1) Elk River Rotary Club is requesting donations for a Rwanda support project they are leadings in which they are trying to raise $50,000.  They are requesting any amount.  The board is recommending $100 donation (that will be matched by the district.)

2)  We will need to vote for approval for our Barron Co. Sunrise Rotary Club to support and host the Cumberland Rotary Companion Club.  There are a few details that will need to be finalized, but we need to have on record that we support this arrangement.

3) The board is also recommending that in lieu of a cash donation that we will purchase Rotary Vests for the Cumberland Companion Club.  We will need to entertain a motion and support of purchasing 20 vests for them.

Last week we  held  our Club Assembly.  Most discussion came from the membership group with talk on the structure of the Cumberland Companion Club.  We also heard from Public Image with more work being done on the Facebook Page.  Next step will be the website.

We did discussion fundraising for the Adoption Initiative - there will be a meeting with the Knights to see more of where we will go with this.

A reminder that our June social event, sponsored by Joe and Bruce, will be Thursday, June 19 at the Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale, with brick oven pizza and music by the Smokin’ Loons. Their hours are 5 to 11 pm.
