Hi Folks - hoping your last week of January is going well - should be some very mild weather for us. Reminding you that our Thursday meeting will be held at the Curling Club at 11:30 (lunch served at noon). We will be meeting with curling members from Canada who are here for the Rotary CanAM competition. There will NOT BE A MORNING MEETING AT STEVIES!
If you signed up to bring some food item to contribute to the snacks/lunches please remember to bring it with you! Also, if you signed up to work - please remember your schedule. It should be a good weekend of Rotary sharing, fellowship, and fun competition!
We spent last week first with a review of the Rotary Foundation from Joe - great fast work Joe! Thank you. Then we spent time in our break out sessions - the groups sure seemed to be engaged with lots of discussion. Be prepared to do your initial report-out during our Feb. 8 meeting. As a reminder the groups are:
Public Image (Monika, Jason, BJ, and Trudy)
Membership (Jeremy, Cathy and Mark)
Local/International Projects (Kathy R, Dean, Anna, Ken, and Clare)
Club Identity/Health Check (Don, Joe, Jim, and Mike)
If you were not able to attend when the groups were established, remember, you can join anywhere that is of interest to you.
SELL THOSE RAFFLE TICKETS!! This is our second largest fund-raiser. Being a small club we really need to sell all 100 tickets. Only 39 have been turned in .... just below a bread even point. Drawing is February 15th! Thanks!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
To ALL Clubs:
FROM: Patricia McCleese, District Governor 2023-2024, Margie Horning, District Rotary Foundation Team Lead, Peggy Strom, Fund Development Team Lead
We can’t think of a better time than February to kick-off our
SHARE THE LOVE campaign promoting the
importance of
giving to The Rotary Foundation Annual-Share Fund. The
Share the Love campaign rewards giving in the month of February with matching point incentives for Paul Harris Fellow awards (see below.)
Plain and simple, the more we give to the Annual-Share Fund, the more impact we can have in our communities and around the world as these are the funds that come back to our clubs/district to utilize in grants. This year, we set an achievable goal of raising $450,000 in our District for the Annual-Share Fund (we are currently at $240,000), and now it’s time for all of us to work together to achieve our goal.
Make an
IMPACT with your donation in February and receive matching point incentives for Paul Harris Fellow awards at the following levels:
- $100 = 1 to 1 recognition point match
- $365 = Point match to Paul Harris Fellow (PHF)
- Sign up for “Rotary Direct” and agree to a monthly credit card charge of at least $30/month = matching 500 points
And, please make a personal contribution to the Annual-Share Fund… Leaders lead by example!
We hope you are excited about
THE POSITIVE PEACE, THE HOPE, AND THE IMPACT your contribution will make in your local and global community, and in being a
FOUNDATION CHAMPION!
Patricia McCleese, Margie Horning and Peggy Strom
