Feb. 5th will be the Community Connections event. We are tentatively planning on making two types of soup on Sunday, Feb. 1 (sign up info below)
Cumberland Rotary Impact Club Update:
REMINDER - No Meeting This Week - Next Meeting on January 28th, 7:00 AM at Peter and Annies.
This past week and this coming week several of our members were and are being trained on how to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Cumberland area. We will be relief drivers for the current drivers.
The hat and mitten drive will continue until 1/31/26. If you want to donate you can drop off at the Bona Casa or at the Cumberland Chamber office.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, 1/28/26 at 7 am at Peter n Annie’s.

EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:
We will be doing a club visioning exercise on Feb. 19, 2026 with support from our Rotary District. This will be a one-night activity and will include the Cumberland Impact Companion Club. This will be in-lieu of our morning meeting. 5:00 pm social and 5:30 pm start - Northwood Technical College

Dear Rotarians - We are excited to announce a special community service partnership with the Rotary Club of Rice Lake! Together, we will be preparing and serving lunch for the CenterPoint Event held at UWEC-BC on Thursday, February 5th.
Opportunities to Serve There are multiple ways you can get involved:
Soup Prep Day: Sunday, February 1st Help us prep, chop, dice, and mix provided ingredients to make tasty soup and chili! This is a fun and easy option for those who want to help but have a conflict during the day on Thursday.
Event Day: Thursday, February 5th Join us on-site at UWEC-BC to help with setup and serving lunch to attendees.
This is a fun and engaging opportunity to work alongside our friends at Rice Lake Rotary and demonstrate the collective impact of our organizations making a difference for those in need.

It is hard to believe that half the Rotary year is already behind us. I guess we say this every year with the passing of time being a constant in our lives. There is still plenty of time for your club to complete existing projects and develop new ones with lasting impact. You can take a careful look at your club’s culture and operating model. Are your meetings and events welcoming to all. Does your meeting time and place meet the needs of current members? Will they work for potential members, or do you need to offer other options?
January is Rotary’s Vocational Service Month, a time to reflect on how we can use our professional expertise to make a difference. Vocational Service is about more than applying skills: it’s about living Rotary values in our work, promoting ethical practices, and helping others grow in their careers. Clubs are encouraged to engage in various activities that highlight the value of Vocational Service. Some common activities include:
Vocational Talks and Recognition: Clubs often organize meetings where members share their professional experiences and insights, fostering networking and education among Rotarians.
Mentoring and Career Guidance: Rotarians can support young professionals and students by sharing career insights and leadership advice.
Skill-Based Community Service: Members can use their professional skills to support community projects, such as providing legal aid or vocational training.
Ethical Leadership Recognition: Honoring individuals in the community who demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
