Clare donated half of her winnings to the Rotary Foundation! She might have a story to share on how she did it!
This week we were supposed to have Tyler Gruetzmaker come in to talk with us on his experience hiking in Portugal. But something came up and Don informed me he is unable to make it and Dean indicated we can use the time for committee meetings. Remember, if you haven't joined a group, you can still join anywhere that is of interest to you. (Groups are: Club Identity/Health, Local/Intl Projects, Membership, Public Image)
STILL SEARCHING FOR A LEADER!!
We are still searching - my next thought is.....what will happen to our club if no one wants to step up?
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Ruby's Pantry - March 16 Please put it on your calendar now so we have good coverage!
O: All District 5960 Rotarians
FROM: Patricia McCleese, Margie Horning, and Peggy Strom
We are halfway through our
Share the Love campaign offering special incentives for giving to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund – SHARE for donations made in February. Our annual goal is
$450,000, and we are currently at
$279,369.
Why give to the Annual Fund - SHARE? - the more dollars we give to the annual fund, the more funds we have available to do good in our communities and the world.
How does it work? - about half of your contributions are transformed into district 5960 district and global grants that fund local and international humanitarian projects. The exciting thing here is that every Rotarian can come forward with their own idea for a grant to benefit from that funding. If you are not able to sponsor a grant now, by contributing to this fund, you can feel good about your donation doing good in local communities and the world through those Rotarians who are able to provide the leadership a grant takes ~ and maybe that will be you someday!
A donation made 3 years ago is making a difference today - Attached is another great example of the IMPACT made by Rotarians who gave to The Foundation Annual Fund – SHARE. Stillwater Sunrise Rotarians participated in the Read to Feed program at a local elementary school.
You can make an
IMPACT with your donation this February. For certain levels of giving, we are offering matching point incentives for Paul Harris Fellow awards:
- $100 - $364 = 1 to 1 Recognition Point Match
- $365 = 635 Points Match To Paul Harris Fellow
- Sign up for Rotary Direct @ $30+/month = Receive 500 points
Below is a link that will take you directly to the RI website’s donation page. If you have not already set up a “My Rotary” account, please do that first. Instructions are attached. Going through “My Rotary” ensures that you and your club will be properly credited for your contribution. Contributions of any size will help us reach our goal!
